Nursery

I have been meaning to take pictures of D's nursery for oh i guess around 20 months now..ha! So here goes!
since I plan on printing this blog one day I want this to be included so he can look back 20 years from now and see where he slept and played when he was a baby.

when I got pregnant I immediately started thinking of what I wanted the nursery to look like.. of course I had a girl nursery all planned but I couldn't figure out which way to go with a boy nursery. i wanted it to be babyish but not corny. I bought all of my fabric from Trolly's in thomasville and my mother in law sewed it all together :)

As you walk through the door..

A picture of mommy 34 weeks pregnant taken by the wonderful Terri smith.. I went into this hospital about an hour after these pictures were taken and that's where i stayed until I had D at 37 weeks

Davis' PB chair and precious rocking chair found in Havana. He loves to stand in his pb chair and yell at the dogs out the window. The rocking chair is his prime reading/looking spot

The crib bumper fabric and valance fabric is called topsy turvy. The skirt is a green and blue plaid and the inside of the bumper is a green chennile

Changing table(ignore the pile of clothes!) restored by grams

I made these letters for above his bed, I love the way they turned out

where sweet boy lays his head

I love the way it all came together... its hard to have the vision in your head and to get it the way you want it but I think this is pretty close to what I had in my mind. Sweet and boyish but still baby :)

My computer was acting funny and not letting me upload pics for awhile...hopefully it has resolved the problem!

Davis had his first day of school on September 1. Everything was packed and ready to go!! Mommy was just praying that I wouldn't cry and that he wouldn't either...we took daddy with us for re-enforcement ;)

Sweet Boy sooooo excited, ha ha
Probably more at the fact that daddy was playing in the front yard..

Pride

Last night the number 5 team in the country, Florida State took on the number 1 team Oklahoma. College Game Day was in town, Tallahassee was electric with the excitement in the air. We all put on our best Florida State gear and headed to Doak to cheer on our Noles!

The game could not have been more exciting! ! Our boys showed up to play and I could not be more proud of our team! We held our own with a back up quarterback and two of our best receivers out of the game. Although in the end we fell a little short, you can't be mad at them...They played their hearts out and it showed. We have come such a long way in just a year. It makes me so excited to watch my Seminoles play!
Last night Doak was rockin!! It was So loud that we were told the cameras were shaking. I loved every minute of it!!

The picture below is of our famous mascot Chief Osceola and Renegade....Yes thats an indian riding a horse holding a flaming spear. Thats how we roll ;) Its an awesome thing to see and the stands go CRAZY when he gallops out to the middle of the field and throws the flaming spear down in the middle of the Seminole head. There's a reason he was voted the number one mascot in all of college football.

The whole package of Osceola and renegade combined with our B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L stadium and awesome team makes for a really amazing experience.

I have always had a love for Florida State Football, it is in my blood. I am so proud of our team and Jimbo Fisher that I just felt the need to share.

Looking forward to next weekend! Watch out Clemson, we're comin' for ya!!
